Biography
Dr. Moore is an Associate Professor at the University of Miami (2018) and Vice Chair for Residency & Fellowship Programs (2014). He is the founding Program Director for the University of Miami -Nicklaus Children's Hospital Pediatric Residency Program (2013) and has led the development of five of the six physical therapy residency programs at the University of Miami (Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Sports, Neurologic, and Cardiovascular and Pulmonary).
Dr. Moore has been involved in physical therapist education across the learning continuum at the University of Miami, nationally, and internationally. His teaching focus is Pediatric and Neurologic physical therapy. He served inaugural faculty in developing DPT program at AMERF International University, Kenya (2020) and Addis Abba University, Addis Ababa. Ethiopia (2016). He serves as the founding chair for the Residency and Fellowship Special Interest Group in the American Physical Therapy Academy of Pediatrics (APTA Pediatrics) facilitating the growth and development of new and established programs nationally. He is now on the planning committee for Education Summit III.
Dr. Moore graduated from the APTA Education Leadership Fellowship in 2021.

My teaching interests include: development of innovative teaching strategies, physical therapy education, pediatric physical therapy, neurologic examination, and neurorehabilitation in physical therapy.

My research interests include: efficacy of balance, walking, and fitness interventions for children and adults with neurological disorders, and educational research focusing on clinical reasoning and "excellence" in teaching physical therapy at the clinical doctorate and resident level.
