About

Brian Breed is a Lecturer in the English Composition Center. In addition to teaching English Composition 105 and 106 for the College of Arts and Sciences, he has frequently taught English 105 and 107 for the College of Engineering. He also works in the Writing Center as a tutor. 

His areas of interest include nineteenth-century British and American literature, contemporary scientific literature, scientific writing for general audiences, and science fiction. He focuses on rhetoric and narrative in both his courses and research, in the hopes that better reading and writing make for better community.
