Christopher Palmer is an Adjunct Professor for FROST Online at the University of Miami. He previously served as the Associate Professor and Program Director for the Arts Presenting and Live Entertainment Management graduate program at the FROST SCHOOL OF MUSIC. He was previously the director of Music Business at Murray State University, in Murray, Kentucky.

Professor Palmer worked with Warner Bros. Records for over 20 years, based in both the company’s Nashville and Burbank offices. As vice president of Warner's Progressive Music label from 1990-2000, he was responsible for introducing and marketing such artists as Mark O'Connor, Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Take 6 and Jeff Foxworthy. Later, as general manager and senior vice president of marketing for Warner Nashville, he was responsible for overseeing the release of Breathe by Faith Hill, which went to sell over eight million units. He also helped introduce such new artists as Blake Shelton, Trick Pony, and Big & Rich. Following his tenure with Warner Bros., he served for seven years as the managing partner for the jazz/gospel a cappella group Take 6, overseeing the group’s worldwide recording and touring affairs.

Professor Palmer is a Leadership Music alum, a member of NARAS, MEIEA and boasts years of membership activity in the CMA, GMA and AMA. He has also served on the board of directors for the Academy of Country Music and Mobile Big Band Society.
