Biography

Diana Rush began her piano studies at the age of 9 with Esperanza Brigante in Miami, Florida. Diana graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from the University of Miami, where she also received a Master’s degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy under the instruction of Dr. Rosalina Sackstein. While attending the University of Miami, Diana was awarded a full scholarship, teaching assistantship, and was inducted into Pi Kappa Lamda Music Honor Society, Sigma Alpha Iota Music Women’s Fraternity and Golden Key National Honor Society. Upon completion of her Master’s degree, Mrs. Rush taught elementary education, chorus, and band at the Sagemont School in Weston, Florida. Diana also served as the Musical Director and Piano Accompanist for the St. Boniface Church Choir. Diana has served on the Florida State Board as well as a presenter for workshops at the local, state, and national levels for the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). Mrs. Rush is currently the Sr. Teacher for the Little canes Music Program and teaches group and applied piano.
