About
Mr. Blanco comes to the University of Miami’s Counseling Center with a diverse background working with Adults in various Clinical settings, which include but are not limited to Community Mental Health, Residential Treatment, Substance Use outpatient Treatment, Criminal Justice and Private Practice. Through a Person Centered, strength based approach, he has an undeniable passion to help individuals find their path to Recovery and Personal Success. Mr. Blanco has obtained a bachelor’s in Psychology from Bethune-Cookman University and a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Since 2009, Mr. Blanco has strongly worked in the field of Mental Health to assist individuals with various life challenges. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida and has provided Individual and Group Therapy to an array of individuals with diverse cultural backgrounds. In his experience, Mr. Blanco has personally found great pleasure in working the underserved Latino Population in Miami and working closely with those experiencing Severe Mental Health Challenges. His overarching goal with the University of Miami is to serve as a catalyst for student Wellness and individual/academic success.
