Gary W. Beecham, Ph.D. is Director of the Division of Research Informatics in the Center for Genetic Epidemiology and Statistical Genetics at the John P. Hussman Institute for Human Genomics. He is a statistical geneticist focusing on neurodegenerative diseases, statistical genetics, and bioinformatics. He has been involved in a variety of projects related to the genetics and genomics of Alzheimer disease. More recently, his focus has been on diverse and underrepresented populations, early onset forms of Alzheimer disease, and the neuropathology of Alzheimer and related dementias. Dr. Beecham is a member of the Alzheimer Disease Genetics Consortium (ADGC), the Alzheimer Disease Sequencing Project (ADSP), and the International Genomics of Alzheimer’s Project (IGAP).
