Upon receiving my Ph.D., I entered the field of consumer research, establishing my own company after working for several years with Norwegian Cruise Lines. A few representative clients included cruise lines (Royal Caribbean, Costa, Princess), hospitals and health care (Baptist, Mercy, Integrated Health Services), real estate (The Graham Companies, Codina Bush), consumer products (Windmere, Elexis), restaurants (Miami Subs), non-profit (The Coconut Grove Playhouse) and retail (Field of Flowers, Alders International). I also worked as an expert witness (an experience I am not anxious to repeat as I do not relish adversarial situations.)

I discovered my passion for teaching when I began part-time at the University of Miami in 2003. I am in love with the subject of statistics and delight in teaching the topic to students—especially those in my introductory class, who mostly don't want to be there, until I enlighten them to all they have been missing!

Every semester, I am delighted to return to campus to meet new students and learn from them as they learn from me.
