About
Michael A. Kolber, M.D., Ph.D. is the Vice-Chair for Clinical in the Department of Medicine, Director of the Comprehensive AIDS Program, Clinical Director of the Adult HIV Section for Infectious Diseases and Professor of Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.  As Director of the Comprehensive AIDS Program, Dr. Kolber interfaces directly with both community and state services and entities that provide or support HIV-related activities.  He works closely with the local and State Department of Health on HIV related efforts, including PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis), and rapid Test and Treat.  He is the local principal investigator (PI) for the South Florida Southeastern AIDS Education and Training Center (SE AETC).  In that capacity, he oversees provider HIV education for the South Florida region and provides transformational practice efforts at the Jackson Health System Primary Care off-campus sites.  Kolber also serves as the Associate Director of the Community and Behavioral Core for the Miami Center for AIDS Research (CFAR).
