Teaching Interests

I’m happy working with students in the laboratory. I teach them the background of my research and how to design experiments to prove a hypothesis. Every semester undergraduate students spend their time in our laboratory running experiments and analyzing the data. Most of them have a chance to present their results at a scientific conference.
Research Interests

My research interest is exploring the mechanisms for methamphetamine (METH)-induced brain vascular toxicity and neurological complications of HIV-infected METH abusers. Establishing a mechanistic link between the disruption of blood-brain barrier (BBB) integrity and the altered neurogenesis in HIV-infected METH abusers is very important and challenging work.
