Research and study interests

My current research with Claire Paris' Lab focuses on oil transport and dispersion modeling using an adapted version of the Connectivity Modeling System. I am highly interested in further improvements and development of this modeling system to reflect most recent research findings on the geochemical and other processes affecting the oil fate. The My wider scientific interests involve atmospheric and ocean numerical computer models and developing coupled modeling systems, which are applied to study land-atmosphere-ocean interactions on various temporal, spatial, and geographical scales. The research topics range from mesoscale precipitation modeling in semi-arid regions in the Middle East, to coastal ocean and atmosphere circulation in the Eastern Pacific, to air-sea interaction over the Southern Ocean, to oil dispersion modeling in the Gulf of Mexico, to modeling of the global ocean and atmospheric circulation on centennial scale
