Nicole Humphrey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Miami. Her work utilizes organizational behavior concepts grounded in public management scholarship to gain insight on how emotions influence the work of public sector employees, particularly those working in local government. In addition, she also studies diversity and equity in public sector organizations with a focus on how to create and maintain an inclusive work environment.

Nicole received her PhD in Public Administration from the School of Public Affairs and Administration at the University of Kansas. Her work can be found in the Journal of Public and Nonprofit Affairs (JPNA) and Review of Public Personnel Administration (ROPPA).
