About

Dr. Tawfik, a licensed Psychologist, is the Clinic Director and Director of Assessment Services at the Psychological Services Center (PSC). She graduated from the Child Clinical Psychology doctoral program at the University of Denver. She completed her Predoctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology and Postdoctoral Felllowship in Pediatric Psychology at The Children's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. She currently coordinates the assessment/therapy training and supervises predoctoral practicum students at the University of Miami PSC. She also serves as Director of the Program for Emotional Problems in Children (PEP-C). PEP-C is dedicated to providing assessment and therapy services to at risk youth from Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Evidence-based assessment and intervention services at PEP-C are available in both English and Spanish. Her areas of specialty include Psychoeducational assessments of Learning Disorders, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Neurodevelopmental and Language Disorders. She is also involved in research on best practices in clinical training and supervision.
