Scott E. Grapin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning. Broadly, Dr. Grapin’s research centers on equity and justice for multilingual learners in K-12 education, particularly in content classrooms. His current research focuses on curriculum, teaching, and assessment for multilingual learners and their peers in STEM content areas. Dr. Grapin’s work has been published in refereed journals across multiple disciplines, including TESOL Quarterly, Journal of Research in Science Teaching, and Educational Assessment. He earned his PhD in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from New York University. Prior to pursuing his PhD, Dr. Grapin was an ESL and Spanish teacher in the New Jersey public schools.
