Carlos Tudela is the assistant manager at the University of Miami Experimental Hatchery. Carlos oversees all UMEH operations: Broodstock, Larval Rearing, Shipments, Equipment maintenance, Fish Health, Data collection/ Experiments, and Personnel training. In 2013, Carlos received his M.S. from RSMAS investigating Maximum fishmeal replacement with soybean, on near harvestable size cobia. From 2016-2017, Carlos was Project Manager for Aqquua Thailand where he helped design and construct a 400m3, state of the art, Recirculating Aquaculture System for Hybrid Grouper. He also helped Aqquua raise grouper to market in flow-through systems and ponds.  He has consulted for various companies throughout the world assisting in marine finfish production, transfer of technology, project design and development, and staff training. Mr. Tudela was hired as a Research Associate to help close the cycle on various marine finish species and continue assisting on all UMEH projects.
