Langdon – Studies of the biology and ecology of corals with an emphasis on their responses to ocean warming and acidification.  I am currently focusing on how the upper lethal temperature of corals varies with long term exposure to elevated CO2 and the extent that survivorship varies genotypically and with tissue properties reflecting the energetic status of the coral at the time of heat stress application.  The biological processes that I look at include photosynthesis, respiration, calcification, fertilization success, settlement success, skeletal growth of juveniles and adults and heterotrophy.
