Tim Watson teaches 19th- and 20th-century literatures in English. He is the author of Culture Writing: Literature and Anthropology in the Midcentury Atlantic World (Oxford University Press, 2018) and of Caribbean Culture and British Fiction in the Atlantic World, 1780-1870 (Cambridge University Press, 2008). He is also co-editor, with Candace Ward, of a new edition of the 1827 novel Hamel, the Obeah Man by Cynric R. Williams (Broadview Press, 2010) and co-editor, with Evelyn O'Callaghan, of volume 1 of a three-volume series, Caribbean Literature in Transition, covering literatures of the Caribbean from 1800-1920. The series, edited by Alison Donnell, is under contract to appear from Cambridge University Press in 2020.
