About Micah
Micah Johnson is the Associate Director - Empower Me First at the University of Miami. In this role, Micah provides academic success advising, mentoring, resource referral, and programming that supports academic excellence, builds community among other first-generation students, and celebrate their successes.Micah has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Huston-Tillotson University, and a Master of Arts in College Student Development and Administration from Shepherd University. Micah previously served as the Residential Community Director for the SMU Service House and Community Engagement Coordinator- Office of Academic Initiative at SMU (Southern Methodist University) in Dallas, Texas.
