Ginelle Bou Nassar is Senior Program Coordinator of Admissions and Recruitment at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Public Health Sciences. Ms. Bou Nassar joined the department in January 2019 and is responsible for admissions and recruitment support for graduate admissions to the department, including recruitment activities, processing of applications, transcripts, and test scores, as well as correspondence of new, re-enrolling, transfer, and international student applications. She serves as a representative of the Office of Admissions for scheduled and walk-in visits of prospective and admitted students. Additionally, she coordinates tours, class sit-ins, as well as meetings with staff, faculty, and current students.

To ensure accurate and timely correspondence and follow-up, Ms. Bou Nassar oversees the Office of Admissions communication channels, including phone calls, e-mail, Liaison’s EMP system, and social media accounts. She also collects supporting documents and maintains accurate admission records to ensure that complete official records are kept.

She also performs degree checks and transcript evaluations, serves as a liaison between the Office of Admissions and relevant departments, prepares and processes documents for international applicants, and attends and travels to recruitment fairs and events under the direction of the Director of Admissions.

Ms. Bou Nassar holds a Bachelors of Arts in Communication, a graduate certificate in Academic Advising, and a Master’s in Public Administration from Florida International University. Beginning Fall 2019, she will pursue a Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Leadership at the University of Miami.

Prior to joining the Department of Public Health Sciences, she worked at Florida International University for five years, including at the Department of Admissions, Department of Orientation and Family Programming, and the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition.
