Assistant Dean of Students

As an Assistant Dean of Students and Director of the Sandler Center for Alcohol and Other Drug Education, Dean Perse is responsible for the overall administration of the University’s alcohol and other drug education programming and serves as a conduct officer. Dean Perse previously worked as the Health Educator at the University of Miami Student Health Service & Herbert Wellness Center, where she reestablished the Student Health peer education program and implemented health promotion initiatives related to sexual health, immunizations, and more. Prior to this, she served as the Public Health Graduate Intern for the Sandler Center, where she led the Health Hut outreach program, created the nationally recognized Cannabis Peer-Led Workshop, and received the Division of Student Affairs Laurel Award for Outstanding Job Performance. Dean Perse graduated from Emory University with a BA in Human Health and earned her Master of Public Health degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She was born and raised in Miami and is proud to be a third generation Miami Hurricane.
